Healthy Recipe to Fuel Athletes

Ingredients

  • 3 cups vanilla nonfat yogurt

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen and defrosted strawberries in juice

  • 1 pint fresh blackberries

  • 1 pint fresh raspberries

  • 1 cup granola

Instructions

  1. Layer 1/3 cup of vanilla yogurt in the bottom of each 4 tall glasses. Combine the defrosted strawberries and juice with fresh berries. Alternate putting in a layer of fruit, granola, and yogurt until the glasses are complete. Serve the parfaits immediately and enjoy!

Introducing, Peyton Rhodes!

Hello my name is Peyton Rhodes! I will be a sophomore in the fall semester of 2025! I am on the women’s soccer team at the University of Illinois! I am originally from Atlanta Georgia. I choose Illinois because the prioritize having a family aspect as well as their athletes successes! I have also had a passion for coaching young athletes! I love getting the opportunity to teach them new skills and showing them that soccer is fun no matter how old you get!

Open Dance Studio Time

Dancers of all ages, skill levels and style are welcome to stop by the Phillips Recreation Center dance studio to practice their skills. This event is $2 per dancer and is happening on Friday, May 16th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Spring on the Farm

The Historic Wagner Farm is hosting a fun spring themed event on Saturday, may 17th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. At the event you will be able to meet the young livestock, help plant flowers, and help with spring cleaning activities. There also will be fun activities, including, wagon rides, lawn games, and more The event costs $5 in advance and $7 at the door, children under the age of 2 are free. Food can be purchased on site, or you can bring a picnic lunch.
